I oil it every 3rd or 4th time - maybe even less often than that. Once it gets seasoned it's pretty forgiving as long as you never let it sit wet. Ironically they are quite inexpensive compared to the big brand name cookware woks which can be $150 or so, and the spun steel is in the $16-$20 range here in Asian restaurant supply stores.
