Its like this: peel the outer cover, then steam the inner part of the seed in a pressure cooker, and use in Sambar. Don't know how widespread such use is, but Tamil brahmin households do this :). Its got a starchy, yet firm texture.

Priya.Priyamvada_Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06797797769716970487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10611609.post-1129637736348175122005-10-18T07:15:00.000-05:002005-10-18T07:15:00.000-05:00I am simply impressed ... how could you turn somet...I am simply impressed ... how could you turn something so unappetising like jackfruit to something that looks so delumpcious!!!
Have fun cooking ... My mom makes it kerala style with a ground paste of fresh coconut and green chilies and coconut oil ofcourse. It IS meaty, though I never realized it before. Frozen ones are not too bad considering how much time we save prep-wise.

For G, do you have a special Marathi recipe for Gobi?Mikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04640782991535484712noreply@blogger.com
